Why is streaming on the LiSTNR delayed from normal radio?

When you live stream a station via LiSTNR, there are several processes which need to occur before we can deliver the stream to you, the listener. 

Firstly, to be able to provide you with personalised in-stream audio advertising, there are multiple processes which happen in order to provide you with a smooth listening experience. Adding on extra processing by streaming software, this can naturally incur a latency and delay in the stream to what you would hear on your regular radio (which has less of these steps).
